The Battle to Onboard 2022 report tells us that more mature digital identity schemes can lead to consumers being more demanding, and less likely to tolerate a bad experience. 

Findings include: 

  • 68% of consumers abandoned an application – up from 63% in 2020.
  • Abandonment is highest in Nordics, despite widespread eID use.
  • 92% of consumers are concerned about data privacy.
